The S.O.S Camp is divided into 2 camp sites. These 2 camp sites are called Mountain Site and River Site. If your school camps at the Mountain Site, you’ll be known as a Mountain Monkey, and if your school camps at the River Site, you’ll be known as a River Rat. |
Except for River Rats and Mountain Monkeys we also have loads of other different animals here on the farm, animals that not many people get to see during their lifetime. The adventurous activities you’ll get to take part in are things that your parents haven’t even had the chance to do yet. You’ll get to go home after you leave the S.O.S Camp and tell your parents some things they don’t know. |

Remember to bring along your camera. This way you can ask a friend to take photos of you with a horse, camel, lama, alpaca, cow, donkey and lots of other farm animals. Why not ask your teacher to take a photo while you and your friends are doing the Bundu Bash, Low and High Rope Courses, Building Rafts, Canoeing, Rock Climbing or Abseiling. |
You are also going to get the chance to build your own fire and then “braai” your own boerewors and make your own bread on a stick. |
You’ll also be taught clever tricks on how to read the weather, what types of plants and flowers like to grow where, you’ll learn about different types of bird species and you’ll even learn how to use a GPS navigator. |
Can you imagine all the interesting new stories you’ll have to tell once you’re back at home? If this doesn’t get you excited, I’m not sure what else to tell you. All I can say is that this is one camp you don’t want to miss out on. |

We are looking forward to seeing you soon at School in the Wilds! |
